  Director's Note:

I am pleased to welcome Jennifer Wickson to our coaching staff. Jennifer has moved here from Calgary and will be helping with our Canskate and Jumpstart programming. She is working on her Level 2 coaching certification and is also a yoga instructor, so we look forward to adding her skills to our classes. Also, congratulations to our 5 medalists at Starskate Finals last month. Our club had a great showing and it was nice to see a solid showing from all participants.

I hope everyone has a wonderful spring school and a well-deserved summer break. It has been another busy year!!

~Devan

CanSkate

- Just a reminder there is no Canskate on April 15 due to a trade show.

Jumpstart

-  Welcome back for spring. It is wonderful to see so many of you skating spring this year.

- Please remember to join us for the End-of-the-Year banquet on May 2nd at the Fraternal Order of Eagles located in the Riel Business Park. Tickets are $10/ person

Junior, Intermediate & Senior Academy

- Information for the Canmore Summer Camp is now out. The link can be found on the "Spring/Summer" page or in the Skating Office.  Letters of Intent need to be received in Canmore by April 15th, 2010. Also, if you are interested in sharing accommodation with other club members in Canmore please contact Devan, as it would be nice to book a house for the weeks we are there.

- Please remember to join us for the End-of-the-Year banquet on May 2nd at the Fraternal Order of Eagles located in the Riel Business Park. Tickets are $10/person.

- Just a reminder to let Devan know if you plan on skating summer school this year. Due to the great response of our spring school, we might consider skating more days in St. Albert for the month July. However, we need to know if there would be enough usage.

- FYI: There are a few Intermediate skaters skating on the Senior session for Spring. This was to balance out numbers as well as help with coaches' lesson schedules.

- Nutrition Tips: Be sure to have a snack of 1 part protein and 2 parts carbohydrate within 30 minutes after you train. Eating breakfast and regular healthy snacks are also better than spaced out meals.
